We need to make sure it happens securely, so with credentials/certs, over https, etc.

alloy can send with credentials and/or certs to both local and remote mimir, tempo, loki

Since we now manage multiple clusters with smol-k8s-lab, using stacks built with this repo, it's time to start supporting a feature of sending metrics/logs from alloy in remote clusters, and receiving those metrics from external sources to mimir and loki (and same with tempo down the line as well).
